Report: Bulls’ LaVine enters NBA COVID-19 protocol, expected to miss games

Chicago Bulls guard and NBA All-Star Zach LaVine is expected to miss several games after entering into the league’s health and safety protocol, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Bulls cancelled their practice on Thursday because of health and safety protocol concerns, the team said.

Averaging 27.5 points per game this season, LaVine is the Bulls’ leading scorer, as well as team’s leader in assists with 5.1 per game. He scored a career-high 50 points against the Atlanta Hawks on April 9.

The Bulls (22-32) currently sit in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, the last qualifying spot for the play-in tournament. The Toronto Raptors (22-34) sit just one game back of the Bulls.

Chicago is scheduled to take on the Memphis Grizzlies Friday night.
