Report: Texans bring in Earl Thomas for workout, expect to sign deal

The Houston Texans are bringing free agent safety Earl Thomas in for a workout this week with an intent to sign him, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Thomas was cut by the Baltimore Ravens back in August for personal conduct that adversely affected the team after he was involved in a fight with a teammate during practice.

Thomas, who was named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 2010s, was a Pro Bowler last year in Baltimore after spending most of his career with the Seattle Seahawks. The Orange, Tx., native played his college career at the University of Texas at Austin.

The Texans dropped to 0-3 on the season after a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and have allowed 95 points so far this season, which is fifth-worst in the league.
