The Buffalo Sabres have lost a young depth forward to injury.
Noah Ostlund suffered a lower-body injury in Game 5 against the Boston Bruins and was forced to leave the game. The team announced he would not return.
The injury occurred in the first period in a collision with Bruins forward Casey Mittelstadt.
The 22-year-old Ostlund had 11 goals and 27 points in 60 games this season as a rookie. He also had a goal and an assist in the series against the Bruins.
