As signs emerge of Talbot starting, Wild coach won’t reveal goalie for Game 6

Minnesota Wild coach Dean Evason wasn’t revealing his starting goalie for an elimination game on Thursday at morning skate, though there were signs Cam Talbot could get the nod ahead of Marc-Andre Fleury in Game 6.

Michael Russo of The Athletic also reported Talbot went to the net where the Blues shoot twice during the morning skate — a move usually reserved for the starter.

Fleury, acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks prior to the trade deadline, has started all of the previous five playoff games for Minnesota. He has given up four goals in each of the past two games — both Wild losses — and has a .906 save percentage.

Talbot and Fleury split starts after the latter arrived in Minnesota.

For his career in the playoffs, Talbot is 15-15 with a 2.45 goals-against average and .923 save percentage.

The Blues switched goalies earlier this series — starting in Game 4 — and are now going with Jordan Binnington over Ville Husso.
