Canadiens’ Gallagher to miss two weeks, Savard out against Canucks

The Montreal Canadiens announced Monday that forward Brendan Gallagher will be out for two weeks with a lower-body injury.

Gallagher missed the first two game of the Habs’ Western Conference road trip. In 22 games this season, Gallagher has picked up three goals and five assists.

The Canadiens have also announced that defenceman David Savard will miss Monday night’s contest against the Vancouver Canucks.

The blueliner sustained an upper-body injury in Saturday’s 5-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. In his second season with Montreal, Savard recorded eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 24 games.
