Golden Knights goaltender Brossoit injured vs. Oilers, replaced by Hill

Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Laurent Brossoit had to be helped off the ice after making a save in the first period against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 3 of their Western Conference semifinal on Monday.

Adin Hill replaced Brossoit while Jonathan Quick, who was serving as the emergency goalie, became the Golden Knights’ backup in what ended as a 5-1 win. Hill stopped all 24 shots he faced.

Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy did not give an update on Brossoit after the game.

Brossoit made a save on Connor McDavid and then appeared to be hurt while sliding over to try to stop a rebound, which went wide.

In seven games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Brossoit has a 5-2 record with a 3.13 goals-against average and .896 save percentage. In 11 games this season, Brossoit went 7-3 posting a 2.17 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage.

Hill appeared in 27 games for the Golden Knights, going 16-7-1, posting a 2.50 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage.
