The New York Islanders have signed forward Eetu Liukas to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Wednesday.
Liukas, 20, was selected by the organization in the fifth round (157th overall) at the 2021 NHL Draft.
Playing for HPK of Finland’s Liiga during the 2022-23 season, Liukas scored 23 points (14 goals and nine assists) in 58 games. He has 38 points (23 goals and 15 assists) across 128 career Liiga games.
According to CapFriendly, Liukas’ contract carries an AAV of $925,000 with a cap hit of $867,500.
