Jets make another deal with Devils, acquiring defenceman Colin Miller

The Winnipeg Jets acquired defenceman Colin Miller from the New Jersey Devils just before Friday’s NHL trade deadline.

The Devils get a fourth-round pick in 2026 in return.

Miller, 31, has four goals and four assists in 41 games this season.

Miller can become an unrestricted free agent this summer. He has a cap hit of $1.85 million this season.

The Devils acquired Miller in a trade with the Dallas Stars last summer.

The native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. has 39 goals and 126 assists for 165 career points with the Devils, Stars, Buffalo Sabres, Vegas Golden Knights and Boston Bruins. He was a fifth-round pick (151st overall) of the Los Angeles Kings in the 2012 NHL Draft.

It was the second deal between the Devils and Jets on NHL trade deadline day. Earlier, the Jets acquired forward Tyler Toffoli from New Jersey.
