Edmonton Oilers star forward Connor McDavid and centre Derek Ryan were absent from practice on Tuesday after testing positive for COVID-19.

Head coach Dave Tippett said both players will be tested again and are questionable to play against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night.
McDavid missed the skate before Monday’s game against the New York Rangers. Tippett said he was “just resting, saving his energy.”
In 33 games this season, the 24-year-old has 19 goals and a league-leading 53 points. Back on Oct. 5, 2020, McDavid tested positive for COVID-19 and was experiencing mild symptoms.
