Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin is a game-time decision for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Wild.
Caps coach Peter Laviolette shared the update about their star winger, who is dealing with a lower-body injury, with reporters Sunday morning.
Ovechkin missed Washington’s 5-3 loss to the New York Rangers on March 14. He came back and played his team’s last two games but was also a game-time decision on March 15 when the Caps grabbed a 5-4 shootout win over the Buffalo Sabres.
The Russian has collected 65 points (37 goals, 28 assists) this season.
