Sam Cosentino on the player: Moore may be the fastest skater in the draft and there’s no doubt that’s his trademark skill. Aside from that he has good hands.
The Minnesota native scored 31 goals and added 44 helpers for 75 points on the season. Year-over-year, he improved on the 24 goals scored in his U17 year with the USNTDP. He performed well at the U18 worlds, where he scored nine points in seven games and had at least one point in all seven games.
He’s quick to the puck on the forecheck and has a good idea of what to do with it once retrieved. Moore plays an honest game, and is aware of his responsibilities defensively. He is committed to the University of Minnesota next season.
Jason Bukala’s scouting report: Brings a combination of energy and skill. A very competitive prospect who plays quick and fast. His speed is one of his more attractive elements.
The kind of player who projects as a point producer, but can also slide into a middle six role if required and provide match-up or penalty kill minutes.
He’s versatile and wants to be a difference maker every game.
