Red Wings sign forward Vladislav Namestnikov to two-year, $4M deal

The Detroit Red Wings have signed forward Vladislav Namestnikov to a two-year deal worth $4 million, Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston reports.

Namestnikov was born in Russia but spent several years of his childhood in Michigan. He was drafted 27th overall in 2011 by the Lightning and has since also played for the Rangers, Senators and Avalanche.

In 65 games last season, the 27-year-old scored 17 goals and registered 31 points. He added four goals and five points in 12 games during the Avalanche’s playoff run.
