Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan has cemented his name in London Knights history.
The 18-year-old forward set a franchise record by extending his point streak to 26 games on Saturday against the Ottawa 67s.
Over the span of those 26 games, he has accumulated 49 points (20 goals and 29 assists).
On the season, Cowan has 77 points (29 goals and 48 assists) across 44 games.
His achievement marks the longest point streak held by a Knight since the 1997-98 season, when the league first started recording scoring streak statistics.
Cowan was selected by the Maple Leafs in the first round (28th overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft and signed his entry-level contract with the team two months later.
The Knights currently sit first in the OHL with 87 points and are one of six teams to have already clinched a spot in the playoffs.
The OHL club has an impressive history when it comes to producing NHLers. Their alumni include the likes of current players such as Mitch Marner, John Tavares, Matthew Tkachuk, Patrick Kane, Nazem Kadri, Corey Perry and Nikita Zadorov.
Cowan will have the chance to extend his streak even further when the Knights host the Oshawa Generals in London on Wednesday.
