MANCHESTER, England — Victor Valdes’ short-lived Manchester United career seems over.
The former Barcelona goalkeeper, who has played just twice since signing an 18-month deal a year ago, is being sent out on loan until the end of the season to Standard Liege in Belgium.
The 34-year-old Spain international fell out of favour under Louis van Gaal, with David De Gea the first-choice goalkeeper.
