Report: Caitlin Clark nears eight-figure endorsement deal with Nike

Freshly drafted Caitlin Clark, who was selected by the WNBA’s Indiana Fever as the first-overall pick, is close to signing a new, eight-figure endorsement deal with Nike, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Charania reported that the rookie phenomenon will also receive her own signature Nike shoe as part of the deal.

The Athletic further revealed that Under Armour and Adidas also made sizeable offers to Clark.

The 22-year-old’s previous deal with Nike finished at the conclusion the recent college basketball season, so the new deal will supposedly begin alongside the start of her professional career.

The Fever selected Clark on Monday in a successful draft that saw more than four times as many viewers (2.4 million) compared to last year, making it the most-watched WNBA draft ever.
