New York City has already witnessed Roger Federer win five U.S Open titles, but on Wednesday they were treated to a different type of show.

Federer made an appearance at a local tennis court in New York’s Central Park, surprising fans as he practiced for Thursday’s match against Mikhail Youzhny.

The 37-year-old Swiss star is fresh off a win against Frances Tiafoe, who pushed him to a five-setter late Tuesday night.

Federer is looking to win his third Grand Slam of the year at the U.S Open, after securing the Australian Open title and winning Wimbledon for a record eighth time.

Even with the amount of experience he has under his belt, it’d be nice to know if any fans in Central Park tried to offer Federer some pointers.
