Steve Pellegrini named assistant GM of New York Islanders

The New York Islanders have named Steve Pellegrini their new assistant general manager.

Pellegrini had been the vice-president of hockey operations with the New Jersey Devils since 2006.

“Steve brings over 20 years of knowledge and experience to our hockey operations,” Islanders president and GM Lou Lamoriello said in a release.

He will work alongside current assistant GM Chris Lamoriello.
